s one of the key stakeholders in the Health sector in the country, we take this early opportunity
to congratulate and welcome the new Health leadership, specifically, the new Cabinet
ASecretary Madam Susan N. Wafula and the Council of Governors Health Committee Chairman
         H.E Muthomi Njuki.

Health is at the core of any nation because its condition has compounding effect in the social-
economic wellbeing of the citizens. The challenging responsibility of taking the Health sector in
Kenya to its next level of development and wellness has now been placed on the shoulders of Madam
CS Susan and H.E Governor Njuki.

With new top leadership in both levels of government in place, Kenyans are looking forward to good
tidings ahead in this sector. Indeed we have featured the Health Manifesto of this New Administration
on page 39 of this Edition to give Health stakeholders the opportunity to interrogate this document
which is expected to be the blueprint for Health reforms in the country.

However we acknowledge that by the time of going to press, full teams to manage this key economic
portfolio at the two levels of government had not been fully constituted.

The year 2023 will mark a decade of devolved Healthcare and this publication will be put at the
disposal of both the National and County governments to record and publicise the milestones of the
         decade under devolved regime.

This publication is and has been the leading provider of Health information as well as being the
medium of choice for promoting and marketing of Health businesses and services for the last 27 years
         and counting.

It is this publication which initiated and sponsored the premier annual Kenya Health Convention
which was inaugurated in March 2020 in Nairobi by President Uhuru Kenyatta. Although the
Convention’s annual rhythm was interrupted in 2021 due to Covid-19 and 2022 due to the country’s
National Elections, the 2nd Edition is planned for mid 2023.

The objectives of that Convention can be accessed from www.healthcareinkenya.com.

We now invite you to turn the pages and enjoy a wide array of information in this publication.
