COUNCIL HAS A NEW CEO

r. David Gicheru Kariuki is the new Chief Executive Officer
(CEO) of the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists
DCouncil (KMPDC).

KMPDC appointed Kariuki, an experience and health practitioner and
administrator to take over from the incumbent and long serving CEO, Dr.
Daniel Yumbya whose contract ended on November 1st 2022.

Dr. Kariuki is a seasoned health professional with over 26 years’
experience in the technical aspects of the medical profession, human
and financial resources management.

He is the immediate former Senior Deputy Director of Medical Service
(SDDMS) in charge of the Department of Health Policy and Research
Development at the Ministry of Health.
